O&ASG Southern Highlands Day Trip – Wednesday 17 Oct

Southern Highlands Day Trip – Wednesday 17 October 2018

The Opera & Arts Support Group has pleasure in inviting you and friends to join us for a day coach trip to the beautiful Southern Highlands for the delights of visiting a unique cool climate garden, and music with food and fine wines at an historic grand estate.

Red Cow Farm Garden a very English garden set on 2.5 hectares in the picturesque rural village of Sutton Forest for a garden inspection. This is a world class garden featuring formal garden rooms and well laid out grounds around a water feature with a woodland walk and statuary in prominent positions. It should be at the peak of its spring splendour.
After our leisurely inspection we will board the coach and drive to Bowral for our next attraction.
Hopewood House a former Hordern family property established in 1884 with superb gardens and distinctive architecture. Hopewood residence is of a general Victorian design, but built in the Dutch Colonial style.
Enjoy a welcome French champagne in this luxurious setting, followed by a two course luncheon with wines supplied and be entertained by Glenn Amer at the grand piano.
Glenn is a thrilling piano showman. Described as “having the fingers of Liberace and the voice of Mario Lanza”. Glenn is equally at home in all musical worlds, from classical music to opera and operetta, song and swing! When he’s not at sea headlining on the world’s luxury cruise ships, he is in constant demand as a conductor, accompanist, operatic vocal coach, recording artist and solo performer.
